Released means amount is ready to sent to treasury, it takes sometime to get it reflect in the bank accounts because of large no of transactions and general bank remittance timings. You can see all the dates of amounts released in the below section.

How to get an idea of what is RTF, MTF in epass

1) RTF(Reimbursement of Tuition Fee)
This is considered as college fee for each year, RTF funds would go to the college bank account. If this funds won’t reach the college by Govt. then college authority may force students to pay the fees. Sometimes due to budget problems Govt. can’t able to remit the RTF, generally it may take 3 months to 1 year time late to release these funds. For professional courses like MBA, MCA, BTech involves huge amount, these courses may get affect by this budget problems.

2) MTF(Maintenance fee)
MTF is nothing but pocket money remitted into the students bank accounts directly. These amount includes Mess charges and exam fees. Where exam fees is to be first bared by students during the submission of exam application form, after the paid amount will be remitted back into the student bank account.

For instance i took an example of MBA student, You can see in the above picture of his epass application status of RTF and MTF funds. He got his RTF and MTF funds into his college and personal accounts. Some times government release the funds in break up amounts as per the availability of budget.  In the above picture you can see the proceedings date by Epass authorities, after application reviewed amount sent to bank and it takes generally 3-4 days after to reflect amount in your account. If you see the status of success means you got your funds. Sometimes the success status won’t appear even after funds released. So you can depend on sent to bank status date.
