The Puducherry civil supplies department was started on 1964 which works under the Administrative control of secretary which has essential features of a secretariat group and the directorate of civil supplies and branch office in 3 regions called karaikal, Mahe and Yanam. The government formed the act called Consume Protection Act 1986 which performance to protect the interest of the consumers and this U.T has formed the rules namely Puducherry Consumer Protection Rules 1987 as per consumer protection Act 1986.later it formed as separate department to protect the consumer rights which was named as Department of Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs in 1999.
You can apply punucherry Ration card through offline and online as follows
Puducherry Ration Card – Eligibility
For Duplicate ration Card: if your ration card is lost, illegible or spoil the applicant need to get a certificate from concerned FPS and submit it in the ration card office to have duplicate card.
For person who having no ration card: if person want to have new ration card the applicant need to provide certificate from concerned authority writing that person doesn’t exists with ration card and a proof of residence and surrender and deletion certificate should be attached alo9ng with the application
Inclusion of name in the ration card after marriage: in an applicant wants to include name in ration card they need to attach deletion certificate from previous place of residency along with the inclusion member application from.
Applicant who has ration card in previous place:
if an applicant is transformed to place to another by the government. Then they need to provide deletion certificate from a previous place with concerned authorities where the person use to reside. This should be attached with the application from.
In case of adding a baby name in ration:
In this case the applicant need to provide birth certificate of baby along with the existing ration card and it should be attached to members application form
Process of applying Ration card – Offline:
The applicant can download the application form Download Form option which can be seen at the end of each and every form. You can fill the form offline by saving in desktop. After filling the form upload it by using the option Upload EForm. You can also attach require documents as mentioned.
Filling the ration card form through Printable:
The applicant can download the printable form from the option Print PDF Form it is displayed on each form. Take a print of the form after filling and submit it in the concerns department.
After submitting the form the acknowledgement slip will be given which displays your application number and date of collecting your ration card.
Your new card will be given after the verification of documents.
Process of applying ration card through online – Puducherry
If applicant wants to apply ration card in online they need to provide caste certificate with e form dually signed with the following instructions.
- Initially go to the official website py.gov.in here click on Services and Forms on the portal.
- Now select Revenue department it will list you all the services which are under this department select appropriate link as per method of submission.
- After submission applicant will get an acknowledgment with unique number.
- With this number you can track your application status.
- After getting the status the applicant should visit the concerned ration card office with all certificates.
- Residence proof
- Passport size photo
- If applicant is submitting through online the file size should be Max 2MB.
